This drawing and painting course in Tonbridge is for those who wish to try out a variety of techniques and mediums who are new to art.
By the end of the course you should be able to :-
demonstrate different drawing and painting techniques,
identify and use the colour wheel to create striking visual images,
develop an understanding of tone, light and shade and 3D effects and
consider the elements which form effective composition.
Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Victoria Wainwright
Victoria Wainwright is a professional Artist and Illustrator specialising in pen and ink and printmaking but with a varied background in illustration techniques and briefs. She regularly undertakes commission work where illustration is a feature, and has illustrated a number of published books. Victoria's main interest is in drawing people, capturing their movement and character.
How will I be taught?
The tutor will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring some pencils ( preferably a selection of Bs eg. B, 2B, 3B etc or whatever you have) and paper to the first lesson and then your tutor will advise you on what else you will need.
