How will I be taught?
Each workshop will commence with clear learning outcomes and usually a tutor demonstration, taking you step by step through the process.
One to one guidance and feedback is an essential part of learning and development, along with group discussions and informal critiques. You will be encouraged to keep a sketchbook/notebook and complete an individual learning plan (ILP) to record goals, ideas, processes and progress. Later in the course there is an opportunity to explore a personal project allowing you the time to develop and interpret your own creative ideas.
What do I need to bring with me?
You should have an A3 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper and a variety of pencils (HB and 2B are ideal) if you have them.
During the course you will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Please do not buy anything until you are sure the course is running and the tutor will advise you on further purchase at the start of the course.
What can I do next?
During your course, your tutor will offer guidance in your personal progression route.

An interest and enthusiasm in learning to draw and paint - everyone is welcome to join this course who know the basics of painting and drawing.
