This Hand Reflexology course will be delivered face-to-face from Broadstairs library. In it you will be introduced to the ancient healing art of reflexology, an holistic therapy that works on the theory that tiny reflexes in the feet correspond to organs, glands and other parts of the body. The course will cover some reflexes and discussions on common ailments. Students will work on one another. Students will study the hands in conjunction with reflexology zones, and how they connect to the feet.

Students will also learn about the health and safety aspects of Reflexology including when it would not be considered safe to perform a treatment.

How will I be taught?

Our teaching methods include lecture input, demonstration and practical experience. There is time for question and answer sessions and supportive handouts are issued as appropriate. Our Complementary and Beauty Therapy courses are not intended as treatments in themselves. Students are monitored carefully and special attention is paid to teaching the correct posture and pressure for Reflexology and Massage courses. Our courses are open to both men and women. In courses where some undressing is required, this is handled discreetly. As part of our Quality Assurance, an End of course comment form will be issued.

A health questionnaire will be issued at the start of the course. If you have a disability and think it may affect your learning in the classroom, or using any of our other services, please speak to us in confidence as soon as possible. We will discuss options with you and do our best to provide the support you would like.

The tutor will provide individual and group feedback.
