If you would like to enjoy a new way of learning for few days this short course offers you the perfect occasion.
The course is not designed for complete beginners.
Students who have completed a beginners course or any above level is welcome top join

The lessons will start in the class at the Amelia centre where will do the registration and set the learning aims.
We will spend 1 hour outside in a nearby park/common
If the weather is not great we will walk around the Museum at the Amelia

We will return to the class to share our findings and wrap up the session

The aim of this short courses is move around, describe what we see, share opinions with fellow students, reflect and call back activities, scenery, findings and be supported by the tutor.


You will gain an insight into the culture of the country where the language is spoken.

Who is the tutor?

About the Tutor: Anna Laila Pace

Anna Laila is an experienced tutor with a passion for languages, art, fashion, food and wines.
She worked in the food and wine sector for several years where she learned much about wine appreciation as well as commercial aspects such as import and distribution.
She also worked in the fashion industry in Italy and London where she was the account manager to a well-known designer and was able to further her interest in the creative process.
She has taught French, Italian and English abroad and since moving to Tunbridge Wells has been teaching for Kent Adult Education

How will I be taught?

The emphasis is on oral communication (speaking and listening) but some reading and writing will also be included. The course will be conducted in the foreign language. A variety of teaching strategies will be used. Learner participation will be through individual, pair and group work. Cassettes/CDs and videos/DVDs may be used.

Initial assessment is carried out at the beginning of the course to assess individual skill level. Each student's starting point is recorded on an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and targets are set to aid development of the skill. These are revisited from time to time during the course to monitor and record progress.

What do I need to join the course

This course if for students with prior knowledge of the language - Intermediate level.
Please wear walking shoes and comfortbale clothing
