This 'Microsoft® Excel - Improve your Productivity' course in Maidstone will demonstrate the use of all the major functions of a spreadsheet as used at work or at home, so that you can produce professional looking charts and spreadsheets. Shortcuts, hints and tips will be shared.

By the end of the course you should be able to:

- Design spreadsheets for a variety of different tasks;
- Use graphs and some other statistical tools;
- Produce spreadsheets of use to you in your work;
- Explain relevant jargon in simple terms.

On successful completion of this course you will be provided with an attendance certificate.

There is limited parking available on site.

How will I be taught?

Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including one to one guidance and group critiques to support you in achieving your goals. The course will be taught in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, which will try to cater for your individual needs. Your tutor will provide feedback throughout the course.

Your starting point is recorded on an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and targets are set to help you develop your skills and reach your goals.

Our computing courses are taught using the Windows® 10 operating system and can involve Microsoft® Office 2016 software.

If you have a disability and think it may affect your learning in the classroom, or using any of our other services, please speak to us in confidence as soon as possible. We will discuss options with you and do our best to provide the appropriate support.

What do I need to bring with me?

A notepad and pen. Please bring a USB memory stick with you, if you wish to take away any of your data.

What do I need to join the course

This course is for those who have some knowledge and experience of Excel 2016, Microsoft's® spreadsheet package and are looking to further develop their skills. This course follows-on from 'Microsoft® Excel - Brush Up Your Skills' courses.

You will need to have access to a computer/laptop with Microsoft's® Excel to attend this course. Ideally, you will have Office 2016 but you should be able to follow the course with Office 2019 or with Office 365.
