technique, style or artists work, step by step. You will learn about an international range of artists’ work, artistic movements or genres that will stimulate and inform your work.

By the end of the course, you should be able to:

• Demonstrate and understand relevant oil painting techniques
• Demonstrate successful use of relevant tools, equipment and resources
• Use appropriate methods to collect ideas, research and experimentation
Understand and use methods of creating a painting composition
• Successfully review and evaluate your own work
• Research and evaluate the work of others to inform your own work and development
• Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines

There is no set ‘homework’, but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home.
There is no qualification for this course.
