Learn the basics of woodwork. Students will learn a range of woodworking techniques using hand tools including making simple joints and applying finishes. The course will cover identifying different types of wood, how to handle and treat them and the best use for each type. You will complete a project working at a level and pace you are comfortable with.

How will I be taught?
By one to one tuition and in a group.
What do I need to bring with me?
If you have any carpentry tools of your own please bring them along, we do have a limited selection for students to use. Please do not buy anything until you have spoken to the tutor at the first session. You will need to provide your own wood but do not buy anything until you have attended the first session. For this project we will start with basic materials (softwood) that cost should not exceed £5.00.
