This Beginners Zumba® Fitness course in Gravesend is a fun and energetic way to get fit using dance. Zumba® is a Latin-based dance fitness class based on the principles of fitness interval and resistance training that fuses different rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic aerobic workout.

Students will be told the health benefits of cardiovascular fitness and the teaching will reflect the different fitness levels of individuals.

By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Perform the dance moves with minimal guidance
- Explain the benefits of combining fitness with dance
- Recount at least three ways in which exercises can benefit health and wellbeing
- Choose Latin music suitable for their own personal practice.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught by a qualified and experienced Zumba® tutor. Teaching methods will include demonstration, explanation, discussion and times for question and answer sessions. Your tutor will demonstrate movements and talk you through all sequences. Activities will be adapted to suit individual needs and capabilities. You will be carefully observed to ensure that you are working safely and be encouraged to monitor and record your progression on the course.
To assist us in providing a safe and healthy environment for you to exercise you will be asked to complete a Confidential Health Questionnaire. Your progress will be monitored through a Learning record and your own personal learning diary or fitness log.
