How will I be taught?
Craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques and understand how to design for a chosen craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.
At the start of the course you will work with your tutor to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set out what you want to achieve by the end of the course. You will both monitor and assess your progress throughout the course to ensure your learning needs are being met. There are no formal exams or tests to complete on this course.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring your sewing machine, all attachments, feet and power leads, and a basic sewing kit (thread, scissors, pins, etc.). If there is any fabric you have difficulties sewing with or that you're not sure about, please feel free to bring it along. All other materials will be provided.
What can I do next?
You will be able to take further sewing courses or take on a specific project class.
What do I need to join the course
Everyone is welcome. It is important to note that craft courses are practical requiring a degree of manual dexterity and students will need to participate fully to get the most out of the course.
