You may present your work in prose, poetry or another written medium such as a diary. The subject and form are yours to decide.
At the end of the course you should have:
• researched and organised some material for your life story
• gained in confidence and assurance
• tried different ways of presenting the material
• written some original creative work
• shared some of your work with others in pairs or in a larger group
• given and received constructive feedback
The course takes place in Tonbridge which is easily accessible from a large area of Kent and East Sussex.
How will I be taught?
The tutor will introduce topics and give exemplars before inviting discussion and individual responses. He will guide discussions and give advice both particular and general to assist you in refining your work. Each week you will share an extract of your work in progress for comment and supportive help. It is assumed that you will spend some time at home between the sessions either researching, writing or revising.
Your progress will be monitored informally and by the use of an Individual Learning Plan.
The tutor will take in work from time to time as requested for comment.
